Small boxes

Small Boxes are a significant part of our brick-box system of boxes.

They provide a regular and well-arranged storing of tools, instruments, gauges, material, small parts and other. They are useful when arranging and setting up your workplace, storage facilities, workshops, offices, shop shelves etc.

It is possible to connect individual Small Boxes like a brick-box via dovetail grooving into arbitrary configurations. They can be combined together but also with Boxes, Panels and Additional components.

Small boxes are made in two different heights (35mm and 70mm) from ABS material in red (RAL 3020) and blue colour (RAL 5015). They are characterised by their firmness and rounded internal corners.

Partitions

The Partitions serve to divide the space of the Small Boxes. They are available in three different sizes which correspond to the sizes of the Small Boxes.

The use of partitions greatly increases the versatility of the layout of drawers and workplaces.

Storing of measuring tools and instruments

The Small Boxes for storing measuring tools and instruments (mainly sliding gauges and micrometers) are a special group under this section of the system. It is possible to store accessories, stationery, scribing tools etc. in the same place.

An area for storing a measuring instrument is soft-lined with black bolstering material so contact with the other measuring instruments is minimal. Apart from this, there is enough space for micrometers with fully turned out screw (so in their maximum size) which saves time when measuring.

The system of boxes also allows storing of measuring tools and other sensitive tools in conventional Small Boxes with lining.

Horizontal storage of tools

The main benefit of horizontal storage of tools is saving space (in comparism with vertical storing) and providing excellent overwiew.

Combination of the Small Boxes and a Supports

In the system of boxes, the Support and conventional Small Boxes are intended for horizontal storage. Their use allows bigger protection of the tools and their concept offers high adaptability to the user's requirements.

Taking out the tools is very simple. It is enough to use your thumb to slightly push the tool shank. This way its cutting part pops up and it enables you to get hold of the tool easily with your hand.

The system has two basic types of Support – an end and a continuous. The end Supports define a beginning and an end of storing cavities. The continuous are used to lengthen to the needed size. It is possible to put as many continuous Supports between two end Supports as many is required for the tool to fit into a cavity.

The Supports are put into inner grooves of the Small Boxes. They are made in several sizes with diameters of cavities of 4,6,8 and 10mm. For example, the Support D6 is used for tools with diameter bigger than 4mm up to diameter of 6mm. This principle also applies by analogy to other sizes.
